TerraKeep (“we,” “our,” “us”) operates the garden planning web application at terrakeep.co. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use Google Sign-In, basic profile information (name, email) from Google.
Garden data: Information you enter about your garden — plants you've added, planting dates, garden journal entries, and related notes. This data is yours; we store it to provide the service.
Location: To personalize planting calendars and frost-date guidance, we store the zip code you provide. For a signed-in account, this is tied to your account in our database, not just kept in your browser. Internal account-lookup tools we use to administer the app show only your state, never your exact zip code.
Payment information: If you subscribe to TerraKeep Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card details — Stripe handles this directly and shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription (such as subscription status and billing dates).
Usage data: Basic technical information (such as browser type and general usage patterns) may be collected automatically to help us maintain and improve the app.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the TerraKeep service
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send essential account-related communications (e.g. password resets)
- Improve the app based on how it's used
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-party services
TerraKeep uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:
- Supabase (database and authentication)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Vercel (hosting)
- Google (optional sign-in)
Data retention
We retain your account and garden data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from your Account page (sign in, then look for “Delete account”), or by contacting us at mjpublishing2023@gmail.com.
Your choices
You can access, update, or delete your garden data directly within the app. You can request full account deletion from your Account page or by contacting us at mjpublishing2023@gmail.com.
Children's privacy
TerraKeep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
